Bruce Alan Ward

Bruce Alan Ward, age 71, Logansport, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, in I. U. Health White Memorial Hospital, Monticello.

Born February 22, 1950, in Lafayette, he was the son of Maurice and Jessie Benjamin Ward.

On June 27, 1970, he married Darla Burkhart, who survives.

A 1968 graduate of Lewis Cass High School, Bruce had been employed at Wilson Foods in Logansport, Bev-Pac (Ball Corporation) in Monticello, Delphi in Kokomo, TRW in Lafayette and finally, A Raymond Tinnerman in Logansport.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird and wildlife watching and outsmarting the squirrels.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, David (Megan) Ward, Elk Grove, CA, and Tim (Kristine) Ward, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Madelyn, Leah, Jolie and Elliot Ward; brothers and sisters, Janice Abbott, Nancy (Jim) Gosnell, Connie (Warren) Alma, Charles Ward, James Ward; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were his parents; brothers, Maurice David Ward, Nathan Ward, Andrew Timothy Ward; granddaughter, Alison Ward. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor K. C. Dehning officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or the National Down Syndrome Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.
