Carolyn Kathleen Costello

Carolyn Kathleen Costello, 58, of Logansport, passed away at home surrounded by her family March 6, 2021.

Born December 8, 1962, in  Logansport, she was the daughter of Raymond and Sharon Canada Small. She grew up in Royal Center and was a Pioneer Junior-Senior High School graduate, class of 1982.

Carol worked many jobs during her life and was always known for her excellent work ethic and attention to detail. While she was a petite woman, she made up for her size in strength. She could work circles around most people and always saw the job through. She was never afraid of a challenge and her family often referred to her as, “a Jack of all trades.”

She enjoyed gardening, wood working, and was very talented at crocheting. Many people received gifts of things she had crocheted; scarves, blankets, hats, stuffed animals, baby outfits, and the list goes on. She was known for her creativity and at all times she was caring, passionate, and unselfish; these are just some of things that made her such a wonderful wife, great mom, and an amazing grandmother.

She often said one of the greatest gifts in life was becoming a mother and grandmother. Her family always came first; she truly loved them above all else, and always made sure they knew that she loved them no matter what.

Surviving are her loving husband, Brian Costello, Logansport; son, Brock (Ashley) Fultz, Logansport; daughter, Deidra Kathleen (Zach) Dodt, Royal Center; step-daughter, Brook Costello, Kokomo; four grandchildren, Skylee Dixson, Leighton Dodt, Addison Fultz, and Carver Dodt; four step-grandchildren, Taylor, Aiden and Jordan Smith, and Kyler Simpson; mother, Sharon Small, Logansport; sister, Peggy Funk, Logansport; brothers, William (Mindy) Small, Port Ludlow, WA and Richard (Robin) Small, Marianna, FL; father-in-law, David (Mona) Costello, Sr., Logansport; brothers-in-law, Kim (Kim) Costello, Logansport, David (Sue) Costello, Jr., England, and Jim (Terri) Costello, Logansport, Ray (Chris) Bean, Logansport; sisters-in-law, Monica (Terry) Baker, Macy and Melanie (Mike) McGuin, Monticello; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Small; mother-in-law, Esther Costello; sister, Ronda Hygema; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Costello) Winegardner; and her beloved daughter, whom she missed so dearly, Heather Nicole Fultz-Dixson.

Per Carolyn’s request there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made in the names of her grandchildren, payable to Brian Costello, to be placed into their accounts.
