David L. Shaver, 61, of Monticello, formerly of Logansport, passed away Monday March 29, 2021 at Indiana Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Born on February 29, 1960 in Logansport, he is the son to the late Donald Eugene and Vivian (Felz) Shaver. On July 28, 1984 at the waterfall in France Park, David married Teresa K. Curtis who survives.
David worked as an excavating manager for Wrede & Sons in Monticello. He was a 1979 graduate of Logansport High School and a member of the Izaak Walton League. David enjoyed training and being around horses, target shooting and fishing.
Surviving along with his wife Teresa, is a son, Shawn (Arin) Shaver of Logansport, three grandsons, Mason, Gavin and Ashton Shaver; two brothers, Michael (Vanessa) Shaver of Logansport; Jim Shaver of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Patrick Shaver.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday April 5, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Kelly Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Monday.
