June Munson

June Munson, 83, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.

June was born on March 7, 1937 in Carroll County, Indiana and the daughter to the late Earl and Ruby (Slusser) Harmon.  On September 25, 1955 in the Burrows Presbyterian Church, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward K. Munson, they celebrated 65 ½ years of marriage.

June was a 1955 graduate of Camden High School. She worked as an instructional assistant in the Logansport Community School Corporation for 18 years. She loved helping children learn to read and do crafts.

June was an avid collector and consultant for Longaberger Baskets. She loved traveling, especially spending winters in Arizona in their RV for 20 years. June enjoyed gardening, playing cards, being outdoors and spending holidays cooking for her family.

Surviving June , along with her husband, are three daughters, Peggy (Rick) Scott of Logansport, IN, Penny Berry of NJ, Pamela Conrad of Walton, IN; four granddaughters, Abby (Pete) Lundy of Logansport, IN, Caitlin (fiancé James Schneider) Berry of NJ, Natalie (Garrett) Baldini of Indianapolis, IN, Paige (Kaylan) Turley of Kokomo, IN; grandson, Cody (Fiancé Kim Mackiewicz) Berry of NJ; great grandchildren, Izzy & Graeme Lundy; Cassius Baldini; Makia & Harper Turley; brother in law, Gary Munson; K9 Companion, Chloe.

June was the youngest of 13 children and she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters.

A private family graveside service celebrating her life and 84th birthday will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Ever-Rest Memorial Park near Logansport.
