Patricia A. Meyer

Patt passed away on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 4:08pm at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport, Indiana, surrounded by her family.

Patt was born on July 10, 1942 in Logansport, Indiana to Paul and Betty (Scott) Kochel, who preceded her in death. In June 1959, she married Larry Foutz and enjoyed 65 years with him in her life as her best friend and first love. She is the widow of Irwin (Lee) Bauer and partner John Nulf.

She is survived by 3 children, as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.

Michael J Foutz (Dawn Griffith), Brian Foutz (Tracey), and Melissa (Foutz) Marcum (Mike Norris).   Grandchildren:  Devin Foutz, Brooke (Foutz) LeMay, Shane Foutz, Taylor Foutz, Andrew Foutz, Matthew Foutz and Alex Marcum.  Great-Grandchildren: Cohen, Carson, Brynlee and Bexlee LeMay.

She was a waitress at Pizza Hut for many years, a licensed EMT as well as a full-time beautician for many years. She also volunteered at Birthright of Logansport.

She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed gospel music and attending church on-line. She played many instruments, including the harmonica, piano, organ, guitar, and accordion. She never took music lessons or formal training but could play everything by ear after hearing it once. She also was a songwriter. In her younger years, you could find her at the local Legion, Eagles, Moose or VFW with friends. She loved to listen to live music and dance all night long until closing time. She loved being in the sun and near the water. She enjoyed traveling and was very active until knee surgery 15 years ago left her unable to walk and confined to a motorized scooter. She made the best of it and enjoyed friends and family as much as she could.

The family would like to thank the Memorial Hospital ER and 2nd floor staff as well as Miller’s Merry Manor staff for their wonderful care.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel in Logansport on Wednesday, March 31st.  Family and friends are welcome to stop by anytime between 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
