Amanda Lee (Hoover) Hartman

Amanda Lee Hartman, 70 of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 29, 2021, in the emergency room of Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born November 28, 1950, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Lester Hoover and Josephine Osborn Baker.

A homemaker and a babysitter, Amanda loved her family so very much – her love was her legacy. She made the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the world. Amanda never knew a stranger, she had the biggest, most beautiful heart. Her final selfless gift was the life-giving act of being a donor through the Indiana Organ Donor network.

Amanda attended the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene. If the Lord put a song in Amanda’s heart, she would just come right out and announce that she wanted to sing that song.

Surviving are her son, Troy (Steph) Hartman; her daughter, Theresa (David) Hoover; brothers, Lester Hoover II and Luke (Rachel) Baker III; sisters, Doris (Mike) Wolf, Barbara Waddups, Diana Smith, and Karen (John) Smith; her precious grandchildren, Troy Hoover, Amanda (Josh) Clements, Abby Hartman, Kali Hartman, Gabriella Hoover, Jacquelynn Hoover, Gracianna Hoover, Kimberleigh Hoover, Anthony Joseph “AJ” Hoover and Carollena Hoover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley (Bill) Williams, brother-in-law Ron Waddups; and granddaughter, Lexi Stanton and ten angel grandbabies who are fovever remembered.

A Funeral Service celebrating Amanda’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.

Friends will be received from noon until the time of the service in the chapel on Friday.

Burial, on Monday, April 5, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
