Sondra K. Leazenby went home to celebrate Easter with the Lord on Sunday, April 4th, 2021, at 2:05 a.m. surrounded by her family.

Better known by family and friends as “Kay”, by her daughter as “Momma”, by her sister Connie as “Sade”, and by her grandkids and great-grandkids as “Granny”, she was an amazing woman who was selfless and would do anything for and to protect her family. She devoted every moment of her life to her family.

Born July 13, 1946 to Agnes Irene and John J. Moon. She was a lifetime resident of Cass County. She attended Washington Township High School, worked several years at General Tire before hiring on at the Logansport State Hospital where she retired in 2006.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Leazenby; grandchildren Jeremy (Amanda) Leazenby Bruce, Jesse (Mallory Hall) Carlock, and Kailyn (Dustin) Cisney; great-grandchildren Ziva and Makaylee Bruce; Elizah, Henry, and Owen Cisney; Chance, Charles, and Chandler Hall; her sister Connie Sturgeon, brother Jim (Janet) Moon; sister-in-law Karen Moon; brother-in-law Marvin Hamilton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews she loved as her own.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Irene Hartman; father, John J. Moon; step-father, Jesse L. Hartman; brother, John B. Moon; sisters Phyllis J. Kloenne, Shirley Vanderbilt, Virginia Alderson, and Jeri Hamilton.

A private family gathering was held at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Kay’s final wishes will be honored and cremation, without any services, will take place.
