Richard L. Robertson

Richard L. Robertson, 88, of Peru (Cass Co.), passed away in the comfort of his home, on Monday, May 17, 2021.

Born March 6, 1933, in Peru, he was the son of the late Emmett and Mildred (Barker) Robertson.

On May 1, 1954, at the minister’s home in Lebanon, he was married to LaVerne (Hall) Robertson. The couple enjoyed 64 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 20, 2019.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Army, serving stateside as a tank driver.

After 37 years of employment, Richard retired from Chrysler Transmission in Kokomo. He also worked part-time as an auto mechanic.

A member of Yorktown Road Church of Christ, Richard served as an elder for over 40 years. In his free time, Richard enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He took pride in being with family and going on vacations with his granddaughters

Surviving are three children, Debra Robertson, of Logansport, Terry L. (Sherrie) Robertson, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Judy Robertson, of Logansport; one sister-in-law, Mildred Robertson, of Peru (Cass County) and two beloved grandchildren, Lauren and Jessica.

A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Richard Robertson will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Yorktown Road Church of Christ, 406 Yorktown Road, Logansport, with Mark Racop officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
