Robert M. “Bob” Wireman

Robert M. Wireman, 59, of Logansport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born March 31, 1962 in Logansport to the late Ray and Wanda (Finger) Wireman and was a 1980 graduate of Pioneer High School.

After high school, Bob moved to Kingman, Arizona to be with his sister; a move that would last the next 20 years.

Bob married Jennifer “Jenny” Penrod on March 11, 2004 in Kingman, AZ.  Bob & Jenny moved back to Indiana shortly after to be near Bob’s father Ray and the couple later renewed their vows in Indiana on July 11, 2004 at Pisgah Christian Church, of which they are still members.

Mr. Wireman owned and operated RW Construction while in Kingman, AZ.  In Indiana, Bob worked for RL Turner Construction of Zionsville and Steinberger Construction of Logansport.   Bob enjoyed building homes, especially the finish work as the home neared completion.

Bob loved supporting the kids at Pioneer High School and rooting on all the sports teams.  He was especially proud of his son, Derek and the great success of the Pioneer Football Program winning multiple Indiana State Championships.  Bob also loved supporting Derek in his wrestling and baseball careers.  Bob was an avid Chicago Bears fan, especially of Walter Payton.  He also enjoyed the Chicago Cubs, the Indiana Pacers and cheering for all Indiana college basketball programs, especially Butler.   Bob also liked mushroom hunting, fishing, a good yard sale and a bad joke.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob’s name to his son, Derek Wireman, to help support him and assist with his college expenses.

Surviving with his wife, Jenny are his children, Derek Wireman, Payane Berg, Tanner Berg (Amanda) and DeAnna Wireman (Ray Gonzales); his siblings, Richard Wireman (Jill), Shirley Gilbert (Dave), Larry Wireman, David Wireman (Beth) and Angela Wireman; 3 sister-in-law’s, Karleen Anderson (Brett), Kathryn Swanner and Leora Penrod and a brother-in-law, Derek Penrod (Kristen).  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Bexley, Ryder, Duane, Jr., Natalie, Amelia, Kiera, Christopher and 2 on the way and many beloved nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, family and friends.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Pisgah Christian Church (503 North County Road 600 West  Logansport, IN  46947).
