Anna K. Williams, age 80, Lafayette, passed away at 8:34 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, in Franciscan Health Lafayette East, Lafayette.
Born August 31, 1940, in Logansport, she was the daughter of John C. “Jack” and Ruth E. Strasburger Hassett.
On June 3, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Church in Logansport, she was married to James E. “Jim” Williams, who survives.
A 1958 graduate of Logansport High School, Anna K. graduated from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Lafayette as a Operating Room Technician.
She had been employed as an operating room technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital and briefly at Memorial Hospital, both in Logansport.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting but most especially grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great grandchild she was looking forward to seeing in January.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kathryn “Kathy” Dill, Lafayette; son, Dwight Lewis (Kelly) Williams, Carmel; grandchildren, Kylie Skinner (Paul) Van Auken, Lafayette, Camden (Elizabeth) Skinner, Long Island; great grandchildren, Khloe Van Auken, Karlin Van Auken; several nieces and nephews.
Anna K was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hassett, sister, Sandra Frank and son-in-law, Chuck Dill.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26th, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home, with Fr. Gustavo Lopez officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
