Eileen Cosgray

Eileen Mae Cosgray, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello.

Born February 23, 1934, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Edmund W. and Mary Carpenter Zimmerman.

She was married to Jerry Cosgray, who preceded her in death in 2015. Prior to this marriage she was married to James Carson, who preceded her in death in 1972.

A 1952 graduate of Royal Center High School, Eileen had been employed as secretary at National Friction for 10 years. For twenty-five years she and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated J & E Farms in Royal Center, raising miniature donkeys. These donkeys were exhibited in county and state fairs and were once featured in an episode of “Animal Planet”.

She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Diane Panton, Logansport, Sheila Carson, Westfield and Valerie Carson (husband Chris Baker), Monticello;  sister, Jean Billiard, Logansport; granddaughter, Jessica Panton; great grandchildren, Taelynn Benish and Braeden Benish.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9th, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Aaron Gross officiating.

Interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery at Onward.
