Isaiah Michael Moore

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 10:15 p.m. in the loving presence of his family, 8-year-old Isaiah Michael Moore, of Marion, Indiana, went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father.

Isaiah had been a patient in the PICU at Riley Hospital for Children since May 29th, following a tragic accident. His six-year-old brother, Josiah, is still hospitalized and making progress. Throughout the past two weeks, the Moore family has been overwhelmed with the love and support of family, friends, classmates, complete strangers and the wonderful medical team and support staff at Riley. They ask for your continued prayers for Josiah’s recovery and their grief journey as they mourn Isaiah’s death.

On March 10, 2013, in Marion, Indiana, Isaiah was the firstborn son of Michael and Ashley (Raderstorf) Moore.

A straight-A student at Converse Elementary School, Isaiah just completed 2nd grade. His favorite subjects were Math and Science. He was both brains and brawn. A five-sport athlete, Isaiah excelled in indoor and outdoor soccer, basketball, flag football and baseball as a member of the Marion P.A.L. Club and the Oak Hill Youth League. This past year’s highlights included scoring 10 goals in one soccer game and hit his first home run in baseball. One of his favorite things to do was watch the Pioneer Lady Panthers softball team do belly slides at home plate.

Caring, loving, kind, and happy, Isaiah was a friend to everyone. With a smile that could light up any room and a belly laugh that was highly contagious. Isaiah was both quick-witted and sassy. He never knew a stranger. From the time he was born Isaiah especially enjoyed his family’s Saturday-night tradition to visit Grandma and Grandpa’s house for Bruno’s Pizza.

Isaiah leaves behind the gift of sight through the donation of his corneas to the Vision First Indiana Lions Club Eye Bank and the gift of life through Donate Life Indiana. To see the world from his eyes and to receive such a kind heart, his legacy will live on in immeasurable ways. In eight short years, Isaiah has made an impact that few people make in decades.

Surviving with his parents, Mike and Ashley Moore, and his brother, Josiah, all of Marion, are his maternal grandparents, Aric and Kathy Raderstorf, of Royal Center; his paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Sandra Moore, of Birmingham, Alabama; his uncle, Evan Raderstorf, of Royal Center; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A private family visitation will be held. Burial will follow at the Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center. A Celebration of Life to pay tribute to Isaiah’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Converse Elementary School, 600 E Washington St, Converse, IN 46919 or to the Marion P.A.L. Club in care of the Marion Police Department. Police Athletic League. 555 E. Morton St., Marion, IN 46952.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel. You may share memories, post pictures and leave messages of sympathy on Isaiah’s Tribute Wall at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com. When completed, his video tribute will be posted on this permanent memorial page.
