James P. ‘Pat’ Corcoran

James P. “Pat” Corcoran, age 74, Logansport, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, in his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born March 9, 1947, in Logansport, Pat was the son of James and Luella Grace Corcoran.

In 2002 he married Karen Rogers, who survives.

Pat had been a school bus driver for the Logansport School Corporation. Prior to that he had worked for Conrail.

He enjoyed taking road trips, attending flea markets, antiquing and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He especially enjoyed cookouts and spending time with his family.

Pat also loved driving his school bus for forty-two years. At Christmas he would wear his Santa shirt, hat and suspenders, and give out candy bags to each child on his bus.

He was a loving man who never knew a stranger. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Karen, are daughters and sons-in-law, Shawnee and Jim Cook, Logansport, Shantel and Dave McClure, Logansport, Lauren Corcoran, Logansport, Megan and Corey Townsend, Akron, IN; brothers, Randy (Lynn) Corcoran, Joe (Kim) Corcoran, all of Logansport; sister, Judy Corcoran, Burrows.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Cassie Cook, Kourtney Cook, Nick (Amanda) Cook, Hadlee Cook, Kenna McClure (Jeremy Siegel), Cass McClure, Allie McClure, Mayce McClure, Julian Davidson, Brayden Davidson, Trinidy Hinshaw; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Jack Anderson; brothers-in-law, Rick Rogers, Dennis (Diane) Rogers; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding in death are three brothers, Daniel Corcoran, Timothy Corcoran, Mike Corcoran and sister, Wendy Reynolds.

The visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Pearson officiating.

Interment will be in Davis Cemetery, Cass County.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to assist the family.
