Joseph E. Gifford

Joseph E. Gifford, 63, of Logansport lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his home.

Born on July 13, 1957 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Donald an Mary Louise (Umbarger) Gifford.

He proudly served in the National Guard from 1977 to 1983 and was Honorable Discharged.

Joe loved to golf and fish and he loved to laugh with family and friends.

Prior to his illness he worked at Indiana Packers for 7 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jane (Sammons) Gifford of Logansport, step sons, Michael Sammons (Lesly) of Butler and Daniel Sammons (Tabbi) Sammons of Logansport, sister, Linda Wiman of Sarasota, Florida, nieces, Jenny Wiman of Canton, Ohio, Cristie Freunholtz (Dane) of Canton, Ohio, Carrie Harman (Josh) of Venice, Florida and nephew, Trent Gifford of Lafayette.  He is also survived by several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, David E. Gifford and Stephen Gifford.

Respecting Joe’s wishes there will be no services or visitation.
