Peggy Schreiber

Margaret Delia (Peggy) Schreiber closed the final chapter of her beautiful life on June 22, 2021 at Woodbridge Health Center, Logansport, Indiana.

Her story began on the winter day of January 29, 1927, born to Madeline and Faustin Zeller in Aurora Illinois. Her life was eventful and diverse, with her favorite chapters revolving around the country life, her family, historical books, and her faithful dogs. Her grasp of history and current events was remarkable, and she loved the little known and fascinating side stories of historical figures.

She always loved the western states with a special affinity toward the early west and was ahead of her time in appreciating the history of Native American Indians and recognizing their mistreatment at that time.

She married George C. Schreiber on November 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1986.

Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Connie Schreiber, Noblesville, Indiana, and Carol Rodibaugh and her husband, Max, Frankfort, Indiana.

Also surviving are three grandchildren and their spouses: Paul and Natalie Rodibaugh, Bloomington, Indiana, Todd and Lynn Rodibaugh, Carmel, Indiana, Leslie and Daniel Stauffer, Wabash, Indiana, and seven great grandchildren: Eli, Nora, Faustin, Theo, Graham, Maggie and Caroline.

Her brother, Faustin Zeller, Jr. also preceded her in death.

Peggy never sought the center of attention, so her services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made in her tribute to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water St, Logansport, Indiana, 46947 and the Logansport-Cass County Public Library, 616 E Broadway St, Logansport, Indiana, 46947.

On a final note, if dogs really do go to heaven, there are many wagging tails of happy welcome going on right about now.
