Marion L. “Frog” Campbell

Marion L. “Frog” Campbell, 78, of Royal Center passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on November 4, 1942 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Frederick and Pearl (Hipes) Campbell.

He was 1960 graduate Royal Center High School.

On February 8, 1964 he married Joyce A. Blickenstaff.  She preceded him in death on March 10, 1977.  He later married Vonda (Williams) Lucas on August 5, 1977, she survives.

Frog retired from Nipsco where he had worked for over 30 years.  He was a member of Bell Center Bible Church. 

Frog was the “Mayor of Goosetown” who never met a stranger.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.  He was also a former member and president of the Royal Center Town Board.

Survivors include his wife, Vonda Campbell of Royal Center, children, Christina “Tina” Campbell of Royal Center, Scott Campbell of Royal Center, Bradley Campbell of Royal Center, Tammy Cottrell (Randy) of Burnettsville, Brian Lucas (Debbie) of Delphi and Jeff Lucas (Paula) of Huntington.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Butch “Toad” Campbell.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with Pastor Ed Roller officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
