Toni Lynn D’Andrea

Toni’s Celebration of Life will be on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Amelio’s on the River, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

It is with heartfelt appreciation that we extend our thanks to all of those who sent love and prayers to us after the passing of our mother. We really appreciate all the kind words that were so helpful during our grieving process.

It was our hope and intention to have a celebration of life in honor of her. However, with the pandemic concerns and personal incidences, we have delayed the service.

We will continue to monitor the progress of Covid-19 and plan a future celebration for everyone to gather. We are communicating with Jim Crain and future notifications will be submitted through him.

Once again, we are very thankful and appreciative to family and friends.

Toni Lynn D’Andrea, age 67, passed away peacefully August 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family in Nashville, TN.

She was born December 4,1952 in Logansport, Indiana to Peter and Patty D’Andrea.

She graduated as a Logansport Berry in 1972, earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana State, and her master’s degree from Indiana University. Toni worked many years as a special education teacher.

Toni loved people and touched so many lives during her lifetime. She was intelligent, funny, loving, fiercely loyal, selfless, humble, kind, and never liked to be the center of attention. Simply, Toni had a beautiful soul. She was a dedicated mother, who treasured and embraced every moment with her two children. She especially loved her role as a “Noni.”

As a recovering burn victim at the age of 5, she offered support and healing to countless burned victims throughout her journey.

She was extremely proud of her Italian heritage and we know she is with her father (Pete D’Andrea) and family eating meatballs….a lot of them.

She is survived by her mother, Patty D’ Andrea-Monson in Monticello, Indiana; brother, Gary D’ Andrea in Monticello, Indiana; son, Brooks Ingle and his wife Casey in Nashville, Tennessee; and her daughter, Katie Hendon and her husband John, also residing in Nashville. Her grandchildren: Ben, Judson, Kolten, and Krew also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter J. D’Andrea.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Toni on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Amelio’s on the River, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Burn Association, 311 S. Wacker Drive, Suite 4150, Chicago, IL 60606, or online at www.ameriburn.org.

Also, every time you see a big, beautiful, red tomato, think of Toni and the joy she brought to so many of us.
