Barbara Jean Sterrett

Barbara Jean Sterrett, age 75, Logansport, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in her residence.

Born December 3, 1945, in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of Robert and Louise Jackson Stevenson.

On November 25, 1991, in Logansport, she was married to Terry L. Sterrett, who survives.

Barb attended IVY Tech and earned a degree in accounting. She had been employed in several local businesses, including the Washing Well Laundry, Ultra Clean Laundry and as a cook at Memorial Hospital and Miller’s Merry Manor.

She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 60 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3790.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Darrell (Sharon) Boyer, Greentown, Bobby (Sandy) Boyer, Terre Haute; brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Stevenson, PA, Paul (Rita) Stevenson, IN; sisters, Marti Spurlock, TX, Shirley Elish, IN, Donna (Chuck) Lambert, IN, Cathy Renwick, FL; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Also surviving are step-daughters, Jennifer Croussore, Logansport, Sarah Wolfe, Monticello; brothers-in-law, Chuck (Judy) Sterrett, Lake Cicott, Kevin Cowell, Lake Cicott; sisters-in-law, Jan (John) Riley, Lake Cicott, Judi Zimmerman, Logansport.

Preceding in death were a sister-in-law, Darla Cowell; brothers-in-law, Tim Zimmerman, Jackie Stevenson and John Albright.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, July 31st, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Logansport Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1023 Erie Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 60 or the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790, Logansport.
