Carol Jean DePoy

Carol Jean Depoy, 82, Indianapolis, passed away at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

Born in Carroll County, Indiana on July 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harold Junior and Leora (Castle) Cripe.

Carol had previously worked at the H.W. Gossard Co. and RBM in Logansport, While living in Winamac, she worked at Singer’s and then at the Eaton Corporation. Before retiring, Carol worked “the salad lady” at the restaurant in Star City.

In addition to being an excellent seamstress, Carol enjoyed crocheting and created many afghans and doilies. After her retirement, Carol moved to Arkansas where she was a member of the Baptist Church, Carol loved the Lord and her church family.

She is survived by her siblings William (Vickie) Cripe, Aneida (Paul) Wells and Martha Lynn Bultz; several nieces and nephews; other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Martin DePoy, Sadly, she was widowed three times being predeceased by husbands Richard Lease, Rennie I Erwin and Harry J DePoy.

There will be no services.

Carol will be buried beside Rennie I. Erwin in the Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
