Larry K. Martin, 79, of Peru, formerly of Logansport, went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo, IN.
Born on January 16, 1942, in Logansport, Indiana, he is the son to the late Harry and Helen (Wamsley) Martin. On October 28, 2016, Larry married Kay B. (Doty) Hentgen who survives.
Larry retired as an electrician for Chrysler. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and grilling. He adored his family and especially loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a faithful member of Cross Wind United Methodist Church and attended Peru Baptist Church. Larry volunteered at Miami County Helping Hands.
Surviving along with his wife Kay, is a son Michael L. (Lindsay) Martin of Westfield; three daughters, Kerri (Joe) Lester of Peru; Kristin (Larry) Fielstra of Nappanee, IN; Tara (Ryan) Geisel of Elkhart, IN; two step sons, Eric (Samantha) Raderstorf of Lafayette; Curt (Sustela) Raderstorf of Windom, MN; thirteen grandchildren, Spencer (Jessica), Reilly and Alia Martin, Cullen, Cormac and Connor Raderstorf, Korey (Grace) Shircliff, Jonah Lester, Taylor (Jayson) Linhart, McKayla and Karlie Fielstra, Nolan and Melaina Geisel.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy L. Martin.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating. A private burial will be held at Miami Baptist Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Wind United Methodist Church, Peru First Baptist Church or Miami County Helping Hands. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
