Stephen Rory Tosh, 79, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 surrounded by family.
He was born to parents William and Evelyn (Hogberg) Tosh, on May 1, 1942, in Normal, Illinois. On July 22, 1972 he married Roberta, the love of his life, who survives him.
Stephen proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1969 and some of his fondest memories include the time he spent serving in Kitzingen, Germany. Stephen was proud of his Swedish Heritage. He spent much of his free time researching the family tree and tracing his lineage to pass on to future generations. Stephen retired from Modine Manufacturing after 42 years of service. He was a hard worker whose love for his family will continue to shape those he is leaving behind.
Stephen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving legacy include five children, Kimberly (Jeff) Lovins, Steven (Cheryl) Edwards, Debra (Danny) Baker, Michael (Heather) Tosh, and Stephanie (Alex) Branch. Stephen’s life was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Terry (Kathy) Tosh, his sisters Sherry Smith and Debby (Dave) Damron, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tamara Curtis; son, Bruce Tosh; and Grandson Chad Curtis.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Gundrum Funeral Home. In his memory and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your children, go fishing with your grandchildren or simply take a moment to cherish your family today.
