Temporary entrance in place for Dunham’s Sports as work on The Junction in Logansport moves ahead

We noticed new signage in place today at The Junction in Logansport (formerly the Logansport Mall), reminding people that Dunham’s Sports is still open and asking them to use the “temporary entrance” in the back parking lot.

The Pharos-Tribune reported in June that demolition of the front entrance on the south side of the former Logansport Mall would begin in July.

The first renderings of the new development were released in June 2020 and call for nearly 144,000 square feet of retail space with three available outlots.

Planet Fitness opened at the northwest corner of the property in March 2021 and A Home 2 Suites by Hilton is planned for the east side of the property where the former JCPenney building was located. (More info here).

The Junction is being developed by Park Development, LLC, owner of 3900 E Market Street LLC, a Chicago-based real-estate developer.
