Darlene May (Berry) Hinkle

Darlene May Hinkle, 67, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 In her residence.

Born on September 30, 1953, in Logansport, Darlene is the daughter to the late Chester William and Donna May (Thomas) Berry.  On January 20, 1995, in Logansport, she married Jan K. Hinkle who survives.

Darlene had worked for Kaufman industries, T.M. Morris and White Rodgers. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, cooking and gardening.

Surviving along with her husband Jan, are two sons, Donald (Bobbie Jo) Bookwalter of Logansport, IN, Richard Curtis (Nika) Bookwalter of Nyona Lake, IN; daughter, Dorothy Jean (Keith) Rechkemmer of Walton, IN; three sisters, Debra Vanata of Burrows, IN, Dena Noble of Logansport, IN, Deanna Helton of Logansport, IN; two brothers, Donald (Vickie) Berry of Logansport, IN, David Berry of Logansport, IN; two half-brothers, Chester (Anna) Berry, Logansport; Robin Berry, CA; one half-sister, Samantha (Jeff) Jones, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; Four step Sons, Robert Hinkle of Logansport, IN, Kerry (Michelle) Sutton of Logansport, IN, Joseph (Tamra) Hinkle of Lafayette, IN, James Hinkle of Lafayette, IN; Step daughter, Jessica Hinkle of Lafayette, IN.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Berry.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
