Michael ‘Boom Boom’ Buttice

Michael ‘Boom Boom’ Buttice, age 68, formerly of Logansport, passed away in his residence in Deer Creek on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Born in Logansport, on October 14, 1952, he was the son of John A. and Mary E. Pearson Buttice.

On July 17, 1996, he was married to Jane A. Wideman, who survives.

Boom Boom was retired from Exide.  He was an avid coon hunter, harvesting 5400+ raccoons, which was several hundred more than his goal. He also loved to fish and hunt.

He kept a Christmas tree up year round and watched “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” throughout the entire year.

Mike loved people and conversation. He never met a stranger, was loved and will be missed by many. He was a never-ending prankster.

Also surviving are daughters, Angela Buttice Meadows, Holly Buttice Berkshire and Christina Fisher; siblings, Theresa and Dave Cosby, Kathy Wooten and Johnny Buttice; grandchildren, Devin LaMere, Cody Rogers, Ciara Meadows, Hope Rogers, Alexis Nethercutt, Ashlyn Berkshire and Aspyn Smith; great grandchildren, Addilyn, Jade, Layton, Elliana and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mike in death were his parents, and daughter, Kelly Buttice Butler.

Mike’s visitation will be on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Kroeger Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Christmas Fund at the American Legion Post 418, 111 S. Depot Street, Walton, IN 46994.
