Nancy Ann Bucklin

Nancy Ann Bucklin, age 89, formerly of Logansport, passed away January 14, 2021, in Fort Myers, Florida.

Born on March 29, 1932 in Princeton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Babb) and Horace Kern Bucklin.  She was very much looking forward to celebrating her 90th birthday this past spring.

Nancy Ann was born in southern Indiana but raised in Michigan City where she graduated from high school in 1949.

Following her father’s death, she moved with her mother and brother back to the Babb family home on West Market Street in Logansport.  She worked for Muehlhausen Brothers in Logansport until her mother retired and decided to move to Fort Myers, Florida.They left for Fort Myers in 1973 and remained there.

Nancy worked for several companies before her retirement, but was also very active in her community.  She and her mother were involved in the start of what has become Church of the Cross in Fort Myers and she was actively dedicated to the church.

She also held several offices and remained active in the Fort Myers chapter of ABWA and was very involved in her retirement home and her pets.  She loved to travel whenever she could.  She left behind many friends.

Nancy is survived by her brother, William (Nancy Lee) Bucklin, Downers Grove, Illinois; nephew, Brian (Elizabeth) Bucklin, Lithia, Florida; niece, Elizabeth (Peter) Brant, Roanoke, Texas; cherished  grand-niece, Jamy Bucklin Delk, Normal, Illinois; grand-nephews, Brett Bucklin, Tennessee and Scott Bucklin, Lithia; as well as, cousins, Jeri Million, Fort Myers and James Babb, Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, Indiana, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Lute officiating, where she will be interred next to her parents.

The procession to the cemetery will leave from Kroeger Funeral Home at 12:45 p.m.
