Gary E. Hiner

Gary E. Hiner, 85, of Logansport passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at home.

Born on September 29, 1936 in Peru, he was the son of the late Elb and Sarah (Barth) Hiner.

He was a Peru High School graduate.

On November 10, 1962,  he married Kay Kumler, she survives.

He retired from First National Bank of Logansport (PNC) where he served as vice president.  The majority of his career was spent in Logansport, some later years were spent working in Kokomo.  

Gary enjoyed sports, cars, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  He would watch any kind of sports but most enjoyed anything involving Purdue University.  He and his wife Kay spent many nights attending Purdue basketball games for both the men’s and women’s teams.   During the summer months he enjoyed watching his grandkids swim and ride the tractor around the yard.  

Survivors include his wife, Kay Hiner of Logansport, son, Brice Hiner and his wife, Heidi of Darien, Illinois and grandchildren, Brady and Beckett Hiner of Darien, Illinois.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
