James Ivan “Jim” Roller

James Ivan Roller, 87, of Kokomo, formerly of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at home.

Born September 3, 1934, in Logansport, he was the son of the late David W. and Anna S. (Skelton) Roller.

On July 26, 1957, in Logansport, he was married to Rosa “Rosie” (Peck) Roller who preceded him in death on June 27, 2015.

In 1995, Jim retired from Chrysler Automotive.

Jim was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. His grandkids and great-grandkids were his whole world.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Roller, Kokomo; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Troy Lee, Kokomo; two sisters, Barbara Vester and Linda Gable; eight grandchildren: James, Zachary, Joshua and Jacob Roller, and Keith (Molly) Lee, Stephanie (Tanner) Parker, Chad Lee and Travis Lee; two beautiful great-grandchildren, Zoey Rosa Marie Roller and Bodhi Kai Roller; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard James Roller; two brothers, Tom Roller and Glen Roller, and four sisters, Eleanor “Kay” Rush, Carol Drummond, Rea Weaver and Irma DePoy.

A Funeral Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 25 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral chapel .
