Sharon S. (Harts) Arvin

Sharon S. Arvin, age 68, Logansport, passed away at 8:27 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Franciscan Health Lafayette, surrounded by her husband and children.

Born October 22, 1952, in at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Logansport, Sharon was the daughter of William and Josephine Harts.

On April 20, 1979, at St. Joseph’s Church in Logansport, she was married to the love of her life, Samuel “Ed” Arvin, after dating only a few months while he served in the U S Navy. Ed survives residing in Logansport.

Sharon had been employed in the dietary department at the Logansport State Hospital until she started raising her children. She was a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed reading the Bible, collecting angels and completing word search puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Andrew (Misty) Arvin, Kathy Arvin and John Arvin.; grandsons, Tim, Jr., Devin and Jordan Rupe; granddaughters, Madylin, Abigail and Khloe Arvin; two great grandchildren, Emma and Liam Rupe.

Also surviving are her siblings, Brenda Robinson, Jan Smith, Pam Wallace and Bill Harts; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Preceding Sharon in death were her parents and sister Karen, there to meet her at the heavenly gates.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday following the visitation, also at the Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Powers officiating.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
