Victor E. Sell

Victor E. Sell, 89, of Royal Center passed away peacefully at 7:25 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on April 22, 1932 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Ruth B. (Roller) Sell.

He was a 1950 Royal Center High School graduate.

Victor also served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea.

On June 5, 1955 he married Rowena “Ellen” Layer, she survives.

He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of Shiloh Christian Church, Gideons, Lucerne Lions, VFW, American Legion and Indiana Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Sell of Royal Center, children, Walter Sell (Melinda) of LaPorte, Craig Sell (Dawn) of Kokomo, Connie Murphy (Larry) of Logansport and Sandra Shaffer (Gary) of Logansport, brothers, Glen Sell of Delphi, Carl Sell (Edith) of Logansport and Robert Sell of Royal Center, sister, Leona Ray (Jan) of Burnettsville and brother-in-law, James Stevens of Lucerne.  He is also survived by grandchildren, Jeff Murphy (Brandi), Kyan Gotshall (Derrick), Dawn Murphy, Brice Sell, Brock Sell, Justin Sell (Jaime), Jacob Sell (Diona Retherford), Ethan Sell (Brooke), Kara Handy-See (Bryant), Matthew Shaffer (Kelly) and Brandon Shaffer (Krystal), great grandchildren, Devin Reagle, Bradley Reagle (Alicia Coon), Olivia Sell, Oaklyn Sell, Samantha Best, Levi Shaffer, Lydia Shaffer, Luke Shaffer, Jaelyn Sell, Jenna Sell, Nolan Handy, Nora See, Ryleigh Sell, Kinleigh Sell, Issac Sell, Alexis Gotshall, Kit Gotshall, Charlotte Gotshall, Preston Gotshall, Parker Gotshall, Kaeden Murphy, Daylin Jones and Darby Williams and great great grandson, Sawyer Reagle.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Rethel Stevens and sister-in-law, Barbara Sell.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Shiloh Christian Church, 1047 N. County Road 350 W., Logansport and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at the church with Pastor Mark Marshall and Pastor Nick Gordon officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shiloh Christian Church and/or Gideons International.
