Virginia L. Hinkle, 98, of Logansport, passed away at 11:59 pm Monday October 25, 2021 in McKinney House.
Born February 8, 1923 in Logansport she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lora (Tucker) Herrick. On June 2, 1946 in Cass County Virginia married Loren S. Hinkle who preceded in death on October 1, 1997.
Virginia retired in 1978 as an office nurse for Dr. R.J. Morrical. She had also worked for the Logansport Schools, Logansport Memorial Hospital and Dr. David Morrical. She was a life member of V.F.W. Post #3790 ladies auxiliary and a member of Cross Wind United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Judi (Ron) Powlen, Monticello; one Son, Fred (Nancy) Hinkle, Logansport; five grandchildren, Andrea (Kevin) Kirkpatrick, Farmington, Ct; Ashley (Dan) McCauley, Valparaiso; Matt (Shari) Milton, Raleigh, NC; Brett (Amanda) Milton, Monticello; Allison (Matt) Hollin, Fishers; nine great grandchildren.
One sister, Marilyn Sperry and son-in-law, Sam Milton, preceded in death.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 30, 2021 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Milton officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
