Carolyn R. Beauchamp

Carolyn R. Beauchamp, 80, peacefully entered eternity on November 17, 2021.

 She was born on November 1, 1941, the daughter of John W. and Edna (Benner) Conn. 

On May 2, 1980 Carolyn married Jack D. Beauchamp.

Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Logansport High School and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne.  She was a homemaker and then worked as a Teacher’s Aide in Logansport.  Later she was the Voter and Registration Deputy in the Cass County Clerk’s Office and then held the position of Cass County Treasurer for eight years.  Before retiring, she was the Director of HUD.

She loved her family, friends, faith and being active in her church and her country. Carolyn also enjoyed cooking/crafts, reading (later books on tape), and animals-her dogs Copper, Phoebe, and especially her cat, Diller!

She is survived by her husband, Jack; seven children, John (Tina) Walker, Sharon Springs, NY, Patricia (Doug) Richason, Logansport, Angela Beauchamp, Galisteo, NM, April Walker (Shawn Bandy) Stemple, Loveland, CO, Beth Beauchamp Lichty, Plymouth, IN, Nancy Walker, Logansport and Phil G. (Erin DeWitt) Walker, Logansport.

 Also surviving are six grandchildren, Shay (Brig) Wilson, Harrisburg, PA, Dane Walker, Cobleskill, NY, Austin Richason, Logansport, Drew Richason, Logansport, Grant Walker, Elkhart, IN, Aaron Walker, Elkhart, IN, Miya DeWitt, Logansport and Grant DeWitt, Logansport; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver Griffey, Logansport and Noah Richason, Logansport.

Carolyn’s brother, Phillip R. (Delight) Conn, Logansport, also survives, along with nephew, John A. (Jana) Conn, Cutler, IN; great nephew, Cameron Conn, Indianapolis; great niece, Rebekah Conn, Indianapolis; niece, Edith (Ryan) Gage; and two great nieces Amanda and Rachel Gage, Eureka, SD.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Cause for Paws. 

Kroeger Funeral Home, 711 E. Market Street, Logansport, is in charge of arrangements.

A time of visitation and condolences will be held at the funeral home on December 27, 2021, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow.
