Mary G. Holder, 88, Logansport, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Chase Center.

Born March 16, 1933, in Auburn, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Charles Patrick and Helen Francis (Jones) Leahy.

Mary grew up in Royal Center and moved during her senior year, graduating from Logansport High School.

On February 17, 1952, she was married to Melvin Leon Holder, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 2, 1991 – exactly thirty years ago to the day that she died.

A homemaker, Mary loved her family dearly. She was an excellent cook. Mary was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Parish in Lucerne. During her lifetime, she traveled many places and always view life as an amazing adventure.

Surviving are her children, Melvin Leon (Bonnie) Holder Jr., of Elida, Ohio, and Sharon (Aaron) Moon, of Star City, Indiana; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan Leahy and Timothy Leahy.

A visitation will be held from 12 noon until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 6 in Fisher Funeral where a Rosary Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. to travel to the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Lucerne where committal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints Catholic Church.
