Sharon E. Small

Sharon E. Small, age 80, long-time Cass County resident, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, in her residence.

Born in Rensselaer on June 20, 1941, she was the daughter of Kenneth James and Wanda Elizabeth (Fry) Canada.

On November 2, 1957, she was married to Raymond R. ‘Butch’ Small, who preceded her in death on December 18, 2014.  They were married 57 years.

A homemaker, Sharon enjoyed traveling, playing computer-based games, and loved spending time with her beloved dog, Bucky.

Surviving Sharon are daughter, Peggy Funk, Logansport; sons,  William (Mindy) Small, Phoenix, Arizona and Richard (Robin) Small, Marianna, Florida; son-in-law, Brian Costello, Logansport; uncle, Bud Fry; brothers-in-law, Forrest (Carol) Small, Columbia City and Morris (Linda) Small, Logansport; sisters-in-law, Connie Canada, California and Judy Canada, Lucerne. Also, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild survive.

Also preceding Sharon in death were daughters, Carolyn ‘Carol’ Costello and Ronda Hygema; grandson, Andrew Hygema; granddaughters, Heather Dixson and Brandi Small; great grandson, Aden Funk;  and brothers, William Canada and Robert Canada.

A private family burial of ashes will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation, nor service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport, 46947.
