Billy “Joe” Kistler, 77, of Camden, passed away Saturday Dec. 25, 2021, in his residence.

Joe was born on May 24, 1944, in Fulton, IN to the late Merle and Maxine (Rans) Kistler. On April 25, 1997, in Gatlinburg, TN, he married Sandra K. James who survives.

Joe was a coiler and crib attendant for Rockwell International and Matthew Warren. Joe was a hobby farmer and enjoyed raising cattle. He loved to camp, especially at Raccoon Lake near Park County, and the White River Campground near Cicero. Joe also enjoyed eating at Bob Evans, and spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Becky (Kenny) Carmichael of Logansport, IN; Amy (Cody) Mannies of Logansport, IN; two sons, Bill (E.J.) Kistler, Clymers, IN; Aaron Wilson of Camden; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Kistler and one sister, Jean Begley.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday December 30, 2021, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Nord Zootman officiating. Burial will follow in the Seceder Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
