Why did you decide to run for this office?

I love helping people, there’s no greater feeling than helping someone when they are down & out! Giving them a hand up, not a handout! That’s what the Trustee’s Job is all about.

What would you like voters to know about you?

I was born & raised here, I’m the father of two great kids & 6 grandkids that I love dearly! I am the current Eel Township Trustee for the last 4 years. I was a Logansport Firefighter for 25 years, I’m a past president of Logansport Firefighters Union Local 470 & was the Fire Chief for 4 years. Before the Fire Dept. I was a union sheet metal worker at LDI for 11 years, where I was a team leader & union steward.

What are the most important issues related to the office you are seeking?

Poor relief & helping empower our clients to be self-sufficient, getting them back on their feet with a fresh start. Our payee program helps our clients manage their money making sure their rent & utilities are always paid on time, plus have spending money every week.

What are your top priorities for action if elected?

Working together with all the local community-service providers to keep people from being homeless or without utilities.

What’s your vision for the community and what role does the office you are seeking play in achieving it?

My vision is for homelessness to be nonexistent in our area, we work closely with Emmaus, Salvation Army & others to provide the services needed to provide assistance in the community.
