Alvin D. Beckman, 59, of Logansport, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, January 3, 2022.

Born on April 23, 1962, in Logansport, Alvin is the son to the late Donald L. and Ada (Conklin) Beckman. On October 18, 2015, in Logansport, Alvin married Lori Ann Haines who survives.

Alvin served for over 20 years as the Cass County Emergency Management Director for Cass County. He always went above and beyond while serving his community and thoroughly enjoyed helping people.

Alvin was a member and faithful servant of Webb Chapel. He and Lori also had a soft spot in their hearts for rescuing animals. Over the years, they had rescued 18 animals from local shelters and off of the streets and were able to give those animals another chance at life.

Surviving along with his wife Lori, are four daughters, Tasha (Mark) Jansen of Long Beach, CA; Olivia Beckman of Evansville, IN; Lindsey (Richard) Fletcher of Westville, IN; LeeAnn Morales of Logansport; sister, Donna (Chris) Dibble of Logansport; two brothers, Steven (Patricia) Beckman of Logansport; David Leroy Beckman of Logansport; brother-in-law, Tony Waddups; sister-in-law, Marta L. Ulrich; grandson, Finn Jansen; two granddaughters, Regina Fletcher, Elaina Tomes; several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials in Alvin’s name may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or Cause for Paws.
