Jodie (Hinkle) Robinson

Jodie Rae Robinson, 58, Galveston, passed away unexpectedly at 12:09 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in the St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo.

Born May 24, 1963, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Ray A and Phyllis D (Vedder) Hinkle.

Jodie was a 1981 graduate of Logansport High School.

On December 30, 1989, in her parents’ home, she was married to the love of her life, Randall Joseph “Randy” Robinson, who survives.

A team leader at the KTP Transmission plant in Kokomo, Jodie would have completed 30 years of employment with Chrysler this coming August.

Jodie’s morning routine included a cup of coffee while playing her Jewels Mystery game and posting funny or inspirational messages on Facebook. She loved being connected with family and friends as she started her day. Jodie loved shopping – especially when it came to yard sales. Jodie made wonderful memories going to concerts and mini-sprint and sprint races – she was so much fun to be around. Florida was her favorite destination – Jodie loved the relaxing on the beach with a margarita in hand and toes in the sand. She loved her family so very much and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband, Randy, are their children, Christopher Wheetley, Eric Wheetley, Michael (Amanda) Robinson, Shane (Amanda) Robinson, Melissa Robinson, and Crystal Roe; one sister, Carla (Steve) Phillips; one brother, Ron (Bobbie) Hinkle; one brother-in-law, Rick Robinson; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one niece.

In addition to her parents. Jodie was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Robinson.

A Funeral Service celebrating Jodie’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday, January 22 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Osborn officiating.

Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

To reflect Jodie’s love of animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society. Family and friends are invited to bring pet food, toys and beds to the funeral home to be displayed as tokens of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
