Carol Ruthanne Johnson, 77, Logansport, passed away Friday morning, February 25, 2022, in St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo.

Born November 11, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys K. (Auker) Warner.

On March 24, 1962, in Winamac, she was married to George “Hungry Bear” Johnson, who preceded her in death in May 29, 2008.

A homemaker, for 18 years Carol enjoyed helping her husband with “The Hungry Bear” concession stand that they owned and operated.

Carol was a member of the Logansport Church of Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Dianne Phillips and her husband Randy, of Winamac, and Stacie Michelle Lopez (Kurt), of Logansport; three grandchildren, Emily Rayanne Phillips, Indianapolis, Molly Suzanne (Richard) Milliser, Winamac, and Marco Antonio (Allison) Lopez, Logansport; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Milliser and Mason Lopez; brother, Ray (Bev) Warner, sister, Linda Schawitsch, brother-in-law, Kenneth (Becky) Johnson; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Johnson; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Renee Johnson, one brother, Michael Warner; and brother-iin-law, Ed Schawitsch.

A Funeral Service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service in the funeral chapel.
