George Thomas “Tom” Joyner, 80, of Logansport, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born December 13, 1941,in West Point, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Earl B. and Mary Lou (Sallas) Joyner.

On June 4, 1994, in Main Street United Methodist Church, he was married to Diana L. (Zook) Joyner, who survives.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1966 to 1968.

In 1995, Tom retired from GTE after 30 years of service as a troubleshooter. For 28 years, he was a landlord and he took great pride in caring for his properties and tenants. His strong work ethic was evident. But, as busy as he was, he was always willing to help someone in need.

Tom was a man with his priorities in perfect order….God, Family, Country. He was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church. His favorite past times included, playing guitar and taking motorcycle trips with his friends.

Surviving with his wife, Diana, are his children, Rhonda (Colvin) Lewis of Griffin, GA, Jeff (Gabby) Joyner of Royal Center, Cathi (Joe) Donahue of Union, KY, Teresa (Casey) Hines of Logansport; grandchildren, Jared Dodgen, Amber Harrison, Jackson Joyner,Oliver Joyner, Hannah Howell, Grace Donahue, Ella Joyner, Arianna Howell, Madelyn Donahue, Hunter Hines, and Addyson Hines.

In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by sisters, Nina Campbell and Vivian Weaver.

A Funeral Service celebrating Tom’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15th at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by members of the Cass County Honor Guard at the start of the service.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7p.m. on Monday February 14th at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
