Glaine “Robin” Roger Roberts Jr., 65, of Galveston, passed away unexpectedly at his home at 12:45 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born January 24, 1957, in Kokomo to Glaine R. and Anna Rae (Carpenter) Roberts Sr. He married Carmel Wright on June 21, 1975, in Kokomo and she survives.
Glaine worked in the grocery business since he was 15 years old. The past 27 years at Kroger’s on Dixon Road in Kokomo. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, antiques and antique cars, and spending time with his grandsons, especially watching them play sports.
Surviving family include his wife Carmel Roberts of Galveston; his daughters, Christina (Bobby) Fitch Jr., Galveston and Melody Roberts and fiancée Michael Seekell of Kokomo. His surviving grandsons are Robert A. Fitch III, James M. Cook, and Andrew “A.J.” J.L. Jensen. He is also survived by his in-laws, several nieces, nephews and cousins and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Funeral Services immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Horner officiating. Burial will follow services in the Galveston Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Glaine’s memory.
