Janice M. (Hipp) Heffernan

Janice Heffernan entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2022, in Logansport, Indiana.

She was born on March 27th, 1933, in Fremont, Ohio where she grew up and graduated from St. Joseph High School. 

Janice worked, most recently, and retired after 29 years, as an Office Manager in Facilities from School District 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Janice met the love of her life, James Heffernan, in Fremont Ohio.  They were married on August 24, 1963, and were together for over 41 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Clara Hipp, her brothers, Ralph Jr. and Eugene, and her husband, James Heffernan.

Janice is survived by her brother, Jim Hipp (Terry); sister-in-law, Francis Hipp; her children, Peggy (Jay) King, Joe (Lisa) Heffernan; and grandchildren, Brittany Heffernan, Nathaniel (Katie) King, and Kayla Heffernan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A few of Janice’s favorite activities included playing the piano, writing special poems for family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, and playing board games with her family.

The Funeral Service is scheduled at Kroeger Funeral Home on February 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Kyle Neterer officiating. This funeral will be livestream broadcast at http://www.kroegerfuneralhome.com/livestream

Family and friends may be received by the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

She will be laid to rest in Colorado Springs, Colorado, next to her husband James. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Colorado.
