Janice M. (Hipp) Heffernan

Janice Heffernan entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2022 in Logansport, Indiana.

She was born on March 27th, 1933 in Fremont, Ohio where she grew up and graduated from St. Joseph High School. 

Janice worked, most recently, and retired after 29 years, as an Office Manager in Facilities from School District 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Janice met the love of her life, James Heffernan, in Fremont Ohio.  They were married on August 24, 1963, and were together for over 41 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Clara Hipp, her brothers, Ralph Jr. and Eugene, and her husband, James Heffernan.

Janice is survived by her brother Jim Hipp (Terry) sister-in-law Francis Hipp, her children, Peggy (Jay) King, Joe (Lisa) Heffernan, and grandchildren, Brittany Heffernan, Nathaniel (Katie) King, and Kayla Heffernan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A few of Janice’s favorite activities included playing the piano, writing special poems for family and friends and solving crossword puzzles.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church at a later date.

Family and friends may be received by the family one hour prior to the service at the church. 

She will be laid to rest in Colorado Springs, Colorado, next to her husband James. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Colorado.

Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
