Joseph Lee “Joe” Kasch

Joseph Lee Kasch, 82 of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, February 1, 2022, at home.

Born October 30, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Helen C.(Sauers) Kasch .

A1957 graduate of Logansport High School, Joe married his high school sweetheart, Ruth (Kline) Kasch, on June 8, 1958 in the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church. The couple enjoyed 46 years of beautiful memories before her hard-fought battle with cancer ended on July 28, 2004. On January 7, 2007, he was married to Delores (Spencer) Kasch, who preceded him in death September 21, 2012.

Joe worked on the dock at Kain’s Motor for several years. He was retired from the Logansport State Hospital..

An avid bowler, Joe participated in several leagues over the years. In 1968, Joe went from a substitute bowler to king of the hill in the Indiana State Bowling Association’s 58th Annual Tournament with a career-high 708 actual series by bowling just three games in the men’s singles competition.

Joe was a staunch Indiana University sports enthusiast and a diehard Chicago Cubs fan his entire life.

Surviving are his children, Diana Bagley (Doug Oldham), and David Kasch, all of Logansport; sister, Sharon Sue Ansel; and grandsons, Dr. Brent (Madalynn) Bagley, and Dane Miller; and his mother-in-law, Mary Kline.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Donald Kasch; and his brother, James Kasch.

A Funeral Service celebrating Joe’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 10 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Blake Hall officiating.

Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 9 in the funeral chapel.
