He graduated in 1993 with a Diploma in Biblical Studies from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. He was ordained into the ministry in 1994. He went on to obtain his Master’s in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of the Bible, Newburgh, IN.

As a young man he ran the family dairy farm. Then he teamed up with his dad and they started a trucking business called Western Dray Line in Winona, MN. During this time, he completed a home study program in biblical studies through Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. He felt a call on his life to pursue a career in the ministry. He then moved to Indiana in 1989 to pursue a degree in biblical studies. After his ordination, he worked at First Baptist Church in Galveston, IN, for 10 years as the Associate Pastor having an impact on countless young people’s lives. He continued his service for the Lord at Living Truth Bible Church, Walton, IN, for 12 years until the present. He also continued to drive semi-trucks off and on throughout the years for fun.

They built a wonderful life together over the next 42 years serving their community and raising their 3 children, April, Ruth and Jonathan. Bonnie is a retired schoolteacher from Lewis Cass Elementary School, Walton, IN. Jerry was the first to offer help to anyone.
