Darlene Stamper Allen, 69, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 15, 2022, at home.

She was born April 23, 1952 in Logansport, Indiana.

Darlene was a graduate of Logansport High School. She earned an Associates of Science degree from Ivy Tech Community College and was a certified pharmacy technician.

On November 21, 1981, in Logansport, she was married to Bruce Allen, who survives.

Her most cherished role in life was that of “homemaker.” A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Darlene absolutely loved babies. She always had a camera in hand ready to capture precious memories. Darlene also enjoyed crocheting, baking and shopping. She had a servant’s heart and was always the first to be there when someone was in need.

Darlene’s faith in God was something she boldly confessed and shared. She was a member of the Vineyard Community Church in Logansport.

Surviving with her husband of 41 years, Bruce Allen, are ten children: Shane Gilbert, Grand Junction, CO, Hayli (Tyrel) Mannies, Logansport, Amy Sparks (Todd Stevens), Peru, Vanessa (Jackie) Hight, Kokomo, Jacinta (Brent) Langley, West Lafayette, Nathan (Michelle) Allen, Logansport, Jared Allen (Neal) Kokomo, Chelsey Sommers, Jacob (Kassandra) Allen and Emily Allen, all of Logansport; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Dylan, Cole, Coty, Brea, Ava, Levi, Nathan, Noah, Jake, Lindsay, Kaitlyn, Clay, Shyla, Connor, Ethan, Hayden, McKenna, Jackson, Mati, Rashawn, Karli, Jenna, Hudson, Breanna, Quintin, Ben, Carissa, Braiden, Eli, Kasen, Alayna and Isaiah; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Camden, Vaida and Allen along with two more “on-the-way”; seven siblings, Lisa (Everett) Roller, Logansport, Ronnie (Kim) Rivard, Walton, Jay (Pam) Fink, Berne, Theresa (Bob) Rihel, Logansport, Ted (Julie) Jones, Logansport, Porgie Newport, Berne, and Darle Hunt, Logansport.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Arnold Rivard and sons,Josiah Grant Allen and Chase Daniel Allen.

A Funeral Service celebrating Darlene’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.

Interment will follow in the Little Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 18 in the funeral chapel.
