Patricia M. Newell, 88, of Warsaw formerly of Royal Center passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Grace Village Healthcare Center in Warsaw.
Born on February 6, 1934 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Vearl and Mary Ellen Welker.
On November 19, 1950 she married Harry Eugene Newell. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1999.
She was formerly employed at General Tire, Whitmyers Restaurant and the Royal Center Locker Plant.
Patricia was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kokomo. She was a former member of Royal Center United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, bowling, puzzles, mushroom hunting, reading and gardening.
Survivors include her daughters, Parry Schreier of Leesburg, Lorie Alma of Royal Center and Deanna Hammons of Winamac, sister, Vearladeen Turnpaugh of Logansport, grandchildren, Chris Tillett (Amy), Jamie Daling (Mike), Kiley Caughell (Scott), Karrie Barber (Tim), Keith Alma (Ashley), Catrina Pearson (Ryan), Alicia Hammons and Jessica Baier and great grandchildren, Hannah Tillett, Josiah Tillett, Elijah Tillett, Micah Daling, Noah Caughell, Jonah Caughell, Ezra Caughell, Courtney Carlson (Cameron), Tyler Barber, Lincoln Alma, Jon Alma, Eric Hammons, Josh Hammons, Nevaeh Baier, CJ Baier and Taje Simmons. She is also survived by 1 great great grandson, Wyatt Carlson and one on the way.
She was also preceded in death by brother, John Welker and son in law, Steve Alma.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
