Ronald P. Layman, 83, of Logansport, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Born on December 1, 1939, in Cass County; Ron is the son of the late John W. and Ethel (Jester) Layman. On February 26, 1961, in Logansport, he married Linda Fosler who survives.
Ron was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a graduate of Washington Township High School. He retired from the Teamster Union Local #135, after many years of driving semi. He loved fishing, motorcycle trips, golfing, poker nights and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving Ron, along with his wife Linda, are two daughters, Sheryl (Joe) Buzbee; and Amanda (Kevin) Whitehead both of Logansport; four grandsons, Josh, Jerrad and Jordan Buzbee, Tyler Whitehead; brother, Charles “Chuck” (Phyllis) Layman of Logansport; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, one sister, Rose McCormick; and five brothers, Donald “DD”, Paul, Ralph, John and Gerald “Jet” Layman.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring, on Saturday May 6th 2023, at 12:00 PM Noon, at Faith Lutheran Church (6765 E 800 N, Logansport, IN 46947). Food and fellowship will follow.
