Michael Glen Rothermel, 52, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022, in Lafayette.
Born July 18, 1969, in Logansport, Michael is the son to David R. Rothermel and Sue Ellen (Conrad) Norris.
Michael was a 1987 graduate of Logansport High School. Following high school, he attended Ball State to pursue a degree in Art Education. After college, Michael moved to Chicago where he worked as an Optometric Technician while he worked to obtain his realtors license. After he obtained his realtor license, he went to work in an apartment rental and management company in Chicago. Michael then moved to Dallas, Texas where he worked as the paint department Manager at Lowes Home Improvement. Mike then transferred to Lowe’s in Abilene, Texas, to help a friend add an addition to his house. Michael started working for CVS Pharmacy in Abilene and was able to transfer to CVS in Lafayette where he was closer to his family.
Mike loved all animals, but his favorite were his three cats. He loved reading, listening to music, oil painting and other art projects.
Mikes death was caused by complications from diabetes.
Surviving are Mikes parents, father, David R. (Rita) Rothermel, Logansport; mother, Sue E. (William Edwin (Ed)) Norris, Logansport; half-sister, Janet (Kurt) Schladetzky, Lafayette; step-sister, Michelle (David) Shanks, Logansport; step-brother, Edwin S. Norris, Fishers, IN; five nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
