Sandra Lee Spencer (Flack) – Galveston IN, went to heaven to be with her husband on Saturday, May 7 at 10:10 AM. Preceding her in death, Husband Chuck Spencer, Mother, Yualdine Aerne,  Father, Harlan Flack and a great grandchild. Chuck and Sandy were married for 61 years and had five children together.  Mother to Jerry and Sarah, Chris Spencer, Shawn Carpenter (Spencer), Tammy Sopoci (Spencer) and David Fuhl,  James Spencer and Jennifer Bess. Grandma Boo to Shane Westerman, Paul and Audrey Spencer, Josh and Shannon Spencer, Jordan and Jenna Carpenter, Alexis Sopoci, Jake Spencer, Kylie Carpenter, Brock Spencer, Allie Sopoci, Abbey Sopoci, Mason Spencer, Craig Jarvis and Kyle Bess. Great-Grandchildren: Hadley and Hudson Spencer, LeLand Spencer, Wesley Carpenter, Taylor and Cody Westerman, Matt, Kayla and Maddox Grimme, Karlie Reinagle, Juniper Hatley, Wrileigh and Rayghann Jarvis, Cieara, Roxy and Alexis Bess.

Sandy was an avid Republican and a member of the Republican Woman of Cass County. She loved to read novels, sew, cook, and bake. She enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies and Department 56 houses. She was a member at Saint Patrick Church, member of the Rosary Alter Society and served as President in 1976, planning and serving at the Bazaars and Spaghetti supers at St. Patrick. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, for troop #417. She drove a school bus for KHS, Haworth and St. Patrick schools. Sandy worked at Delco Electronics, General Motors and Fab III. She wrote safety manuals for Fab III, trained employees and finished her career earning her CDL and driving a Semi-Truck. She worked at Weight Watchers for many years and an entrepreneur selling Contempo Fashions and Longaberger baskets.

Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Management 1988, Purdue University from School of Technology in 1994 and her Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan in 1998.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12 from 4-8 PM at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home, 401 S. California St., Galveston, IN, with a Celebration of life on Friday at 10 AM, followed by a graveside burial service at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport.
