Terrence C. “Terry” Pomasl

Terrence (Terry) Pomasl, of Logansport, passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 83 and will be deeply missed by his loving family. 

Terry was born in the home of his parents in White Lake, Wisconsin, on January 2, 1939, son of the late Carl and Eva Yakel Pomasl.

He was married on November 11, 1961, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Maureen Shepherd. They were married for 60 years and she survives. Also surviving are his three sons, Jeff (Jamee), Chris (Toni) and Greg (Kristi). He is also survived by his siblings, Sandy Listle and Tony Pomasl; his grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Jacob (Kourtney), Emily, Dylan, Kaylor, Reid, Ryan, Nathan, Everett, and Kathleen; and daughter-in-law, Mary, as well as numerous loving friends and brothers/sisters-in-law.

Terry was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Sharon Pomasl, Cam Pomasl, Jane Volkmann, and Peggy Ganz; and brothers-in-law, Jack Listle, Jim Shepherd and Mike Volkmann.

He was a member of All Saints Parish for over 50 years and was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He called BINGO in the local K of C Hall for years before the lodge closed. He had a tremendous singing voice, and many parishioners of All Saints will recall the booming baritone filling the church with songs of praise.

Terry spent most of his career as the owner of Import Auto Service in Logansport. At the end of his career, he found great passion for working with the kids in the Logansport State Hospital Juvenile Detention Center, where he was a guard.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19th, at Kroeger Funeral Home, 711 East Market Street, Logansport.

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, with Father Kyle Neterer officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
